Lux is almost always described as a beautiful woman with radiant blonde hair, tied up in a bun, and piercing hazel eyes – her gaze is so powerful that ‘Lux’s gaze’ is a common term for the dangerous heat of the noontime sun. She is never seen without wearing her ornate full plate armor and chain hauberk underneath: only her face is ever visible to those who behold her. According to most, licks of flame linger on her armor and occasionally burst into small conflagrations that burst off of her form like miniature firework displays. Some cultures depict her armor as being completely made of flame, lava and/or obsidian. She is often shown riding a black horse with a fiery mane and burning hooves.
Almost all describe Lux as the mortal enemy of Corax, and that he is the one she is relentlessly searching the Earth for every day. Stories of why Lux is searching for him differ from culture to culture and vary from being former lovers to being the only victim that Lux hasn’t been able to kill. The cultures that revere or fear Lux above others, like the desert tribes, often state that she is responsible for the disfigurements that force Corax to hide his face with a mask.
